Startwell & Healthy Start Vitamins

Startwell lead on the vitamins project for Birmingham Forward Steps.

The Startwell programme offers Early Years settings and Children Centre’s the opportunity to work towards and achieve the Startwell Award which has been designed to improve the knowledge, skills and confidence of Early Years Professionals in healthy eating, physical activity and oral health, to create a healthier environment for our children and families.

Startwell uses characters to promote 8 key healthy lifestyle messages, these are:

The Healthy Start Vitamins are FREE in Birmingham. The Vitamins are:

For children under 4 years old

For pregnant women from the start of their pregnancy until their child is 12 months old

FREE for all pregnant women and children up to 12 months old who are registered with a Birmingham GP
